I am passionate about people and love being able to express myself.
What I am about to talk about may hit home to a few people, but I would strongly like to say I am only expressing my view of things, it is totally biased as I am mainly saying what I think and feel.
I was just reading one of the most loved magazines in SA and I came to a part where people are supposed to express their own views. Since this is a fairly new thing with this magazine they asked 3 of their staff members to kick it of. The question was: What is the worst pick-up line you have ever heard? A lady by the name of Jabulile Mangena* (Assistant Advetorial Manager & Designer) answers: "It's funny when men are so ambitious that no matter how odd they look, they still think they have a chance with a girl who is way beyond their league........ absolutely gorgeuos, and on that day the only men who will notice you are the parking attendants...... One day as a parking attendant was helping me with my groceries..... I opened my window to tip him and he said: "My sister I wanna marry you! You look so beautiful" I smiled gave him a tip and drove off quite stunned! How could he possibly think of marrying me?"
Reading this I did as she did, I smiled and thought who does she think she is to think something like that about the poor guy who can't help but notice her so called beauty. She should actually be greatful as the men in her so called league did not even notice her existence. It also got me thinking how we as people look at our worldly gains and think that we have it all. You must actually look at the so called parking attendants and see how they actually smile when they see a car pulling up to park at their spot and how greatful they are when you give them that meagre tip that you give.
The lady might actually think that she is God's gift to men but then look at it and think: If that parking attendant who is out of her league was not there to help her with her groceries, she could have a broken a nail or possibly would have had to take the trolley back to the shop herself. So look at it and think whose God's gift to mankind Her or the PARKING ATTENDANT whose way out of her league.
As I said this is my own opinion and it is totally biased.
