What do we need to do now??

What is it that we really need to do now for these so called celebrities to listen or to even stop and think. Not so long ago Mandoza was in the News for all the wrong reasons, Press Zuma, Robert Marawa, Julius Malema, Tiger Woods, Ashley Cole, John Terry just to name a few. One might argue that there is nothing common about al these peole and what they did. Unfortunately I beg to differ, they all represent the same thing CELEBRITYDOM. Today's youngsters look up to these people and think that 'when I grow up I want to be just like that person'. But what these people are doing is to disappoint not only the youth but also themselves. I believe when they grew up they all had goals and dreams and people they looked up to.

I know many people are thinking 'Oh poor Jub Jub, really has bad luck following him', I don't think so, as a person you create your own luck, by the way you do things and act. This so called Jub Jub created his own luck, by 1. Not thinking, 2. Taking alcohol(drugs) 3. Being plain dumb. If you want to be a racer go to the race track, if you want to drink, don't drive the arrive alive campaign says this quiet often and openly enough, If you want to be successful stop and think, strategise. I really miss the days when we had celebrities who calculate their moves very well, whatever they did had a motive and strategy behind it. These days they just do with the hope that someone will always clean up after them.

As for Jub Jub, I don't feel at all sorry for him, the law should take it's own course or otherwise let those pupils do whatever they want with him. Some might say I am insighting violence, but I think that's the only way we can show these people that they are not greater than anyone, they are human just like the rest of us, we also feel the pain that they feel. Imagine how the parents of the dead kids feel, you had high hopes for your child and the next day that child is gone just because somebody did not use their brain that God gave them. Jub Jub must rot in jail.

Or else he will feel the wrath of the People.

Hectic! Hectic! Hectic!

I'ts amazing how time flies, Not so long ago it was the begining of a new year and now it's already february and you to look at it and find out how much of your goals have you achieved already and you realise you haven't even started with them you are still completing whatever you started last year and then you start to wonder if you are really going somewhere or you just standing in one place trying to move forward but you are struggling. I think I am at that place, in a week's time I am writting the very same exam I wrote last year and hopefully this year I will pass it and then I can move on with the things that I really need to do for this year. Studying being the main thing.

A friend of mine had a baby this morning and I need to put some time aside to go see her baby. My little girl is in grade 1, and the homework that they come with on a daily basis is enough to drive a grown woman mad. I think the more hectic things are the better as I then get to move with the year without stressing about what is happening around the world. Tere's so many things happening, the earthquake in Haiti, bombings in the Middle East, assassinations etc..... It really is Hectic! Hectic! Hectic!

Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I recently had a problem with meat that had gone off, at first i thought "let it go and pretend it did not happen". But then again I thought "why should I let it go if I spent my money on the goods". Going with the latter I decided to log a complain on a website called 'get closure', little did I know what kind of closure will I get.

When I was lodging the complain I was skeptical, I thought to myself this will not go anywhere, you know it's going to be one of those things that get ignored, considering that the complain was against a giant retailer, Pick 'n Pay to be exact. I thought they will just say whose this and throw the complain in the bin, but to my surprise they did not. Within 2 days of lodging the complain I got an sms saying they should reply to me by December 22. On the 18th of December I got a call from their Service Manager who asked me to come to the store so that we can resolve the matter. When I got there she was so nice you would think that i had done a good thing. I thought to myself isn't this person supposed to be angry and irritable after-all I have lodged a complain, But NO she wasn't. She was happy to refund me and give me the same package for free.

I was happy and thinking wow that's what I call service. On December 23 I got a call again from this lady saying can I please come to the shop there's something that we need to discuss. I got there and did my shopping first when I was done I went to her, to my surprise the store manager was there waiting for me. He apologised for the inconvenience caused to me, I was like but Martina (Service Manager) has already done that a few times, he emphasised how important it is that they satisfy their customers and gave me a box of chocolates.

Now coming to my point, Pick 'n Pay has come out and showed that no matter how big you are the smallest things still matter. I am a small customer compared to all the people who shop there but they treated me like a Queen. They showed that to get on top you need to start at the bottom. I hope that all the BIG people can learn from the BIGGEST people how customer service can be rendered

THANK YOU MARTINA, TREVOR AND PICK 'N PAY you guys really are INSPIRED AND YOU ROCK.

Tiger Woods!!

Well, well, well, who would have thought that the good boy of golf can turn into such a bad boy all because he couldn't keep it to himself or let alone share it with his wife. I must admit I do not like the guy, not because he is American, or because he is stinking rich and I am not, I just don't like the guy. He has this certain aura about him. I can't really say what it is that makes him such a bad person. The guy seems to think that he is the god of golf, which is also fuelled by the fact that in all golf tournaments that are being played the commentators will always mention him whether he is palying or not. If you look at the way he tals or walks or palys you can tell he has no reagrd for any person but himself.

The reason I'm talking about him is not because of his golfing but his recent shinanigans, I mean the guy went from 2 mistresses to 10 in 3 days that is a rise of about 800%. Some people would look at it and think he's the man, but he actually isn't. I feel very sorry for him because things like this can destroy a lot of things. For 1 it might mean his marriage is over and goodbye to the kids, with that also goes the support structure, and no support structure means it's to the woods with Tiger. For his sake and his family I hope all these are just lies and a way to slow him down, otherwise it might mean the end of his career. It's hard to come out of things like this unscarred. If all these women are lying shame on them, but what are the chances that 10 women can lie about the same thing? Anyway there is a trend to this all, he seems to be doing the entertainers all those who bare it all to those who seem to care. Who knows he might have been in the bar where they worked and their imaginary minds saw things and did things, I guess we'll never really know the real truth except what we read in the papers.

As for the no condom part...! How could he, in this day and age......

I don't like the guy and never have, but now I feel so much pity for him.

Exams

Whoever came up with th Idea of exams should be shot. I mean think about it, All year you study and do asignments all that and the comes one paper that will ultimately determine all that you have been doing the entire year, and guess what you fail not because you don't know the work but because you don't think the same way as another person, it's no wonder a whole lot of people commit suicide during this time, they go through a whole lot of stress, the waiting for the results is something else on it's own.

Anyway today I wrote my exam, my fingers are crossed for a pass.

People want RESULTS.

It's amazing how much people actually want to see results in everything that happens around them, be it something that they do themselves, or something that someone else does. Take for instance the service delivery protests that have been happening around South Africa.

People went to vote for the current government hoping that they will get better results( Houses. Basic needs etc...). Now that they realise that they are not getting those results they are reacting towards the elected government. Don't get me wrong i am not condoning what they are doing. I am merely stating that they are not getting the results they hoped for. In this case these people had a say in the event(voting).

Let's now look at the selection of the South African National Soccer coach, none of the citizens voted or had a say when he was elected, yet everybody wants to have a say in what must be done with him. Most people want him to leave as they feel he is not doing his job. My question is shouldn't that be the case with the government as well? Most people would say NO we should give it a chance to do all that it promised to do. My questionthe is shouldn't that also apply to the coach?

I believe that for a team to achieve anything, the should be trials and tribulations, there should tough times and worst times, the should be times were the one believes that the other is worthless and vice versa. To be at your highest, you first need to be at your lowest. Santana should be given a chance like any other person. We all need to learn to be patient and consistent. Look at the rugby and cricket coaches they have been at their lowest, the were times when most people wanted them to leave, but they were given the chance to continue. Jake White was with the springboks for a long time before he won the world cup. The most important ingredients in there was consistency and patience.

Please do the same with Santana as you would do the government. Don't discriminate against the other because you feel they are a foreigner. That very same foreigner might just be the best thing that ever happens to you and the country. The very same chances that were given other coaches must be given to him. The soccer team has had a lot of coaches and noneof them has stayed as long as the sports. Don't you think it's time that soccer became consistent as well? Maybe that's all it needs, who knows......
